Gowa: Teachable Moments for Apache Children was developed by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension in collaboration with an advisory board of local stakeholders.

Funding was provided by a CYFAR grant from the US Department of Agriculture.

Support for Gowa: Teachable Moments for Apache Children is also provided by a grant from First Things First, which partners with families and communities to give all Arizona children the opportunity to arrive at kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed. Learn more at FirstThingsFirst.org.
